We found our roots at Southeast Texas Mardi Gras down der in Port Arthur, Texas. We started chunkin' dem beads way back in 1999. We even made us one of dem Big O Fancy Floats dat looks like a boat, and loaded it up with our friends and took off down dat parade route. By da time we got to da other end we is ready to done it again. We got us one of dem Krewe Captains. We calls him Robert Pineda and he told us "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler". Hey he no gotta told us twice. Why just last year alone I bet we done over a tousand Jell-O Shots not ta mention the Cherry Bombs and Beers. I bet if Jell-O knowed about all dem shots they be glad to sponcers us, eh? Well anyways while ya'll are here, be shore and look at all the pictures we got on dees pages. If yous think you'd like to be a Krazie go tos da Wanna be a Krazies Krewe Member and fill out the request. Cher somebodys will shore nough gives you a chance to get on board. Check out Currently Happening to find out the goings on of the Krazies between Mardi Gras'. So when ya be at the parades and want beads from the bestest Krewe der holler at that Pirate Ship as loud as you can. "Throw me something MISTER" and hopes we can hear you over all dat LOUD MUSIC!
Two of the Kraziest of Krazies. Robert Pineda (right) is the Crew Captain and Owner. Jim Peterson (left) is one of our two Co-Captains. When these two get together who knows what is about to unfold. Being these two works of art that they are, be warned don't let your guards down.
Below is our other Co-Captain Adam Boudreaux. Adam was the key person to the SS Looney Tunes becoming a reality. Robert Pineda the Captain and Owner had the idea of a School Bus becoming a Pirate Ship but needed someone with High Quality Fabrication Skills, Adam joined our Krewe and made it happen. Adam spent countless hours welding, fabricating, and helping put our float together in time for Mardi Gras 2000. The Krazies just want to say "Adam Great Job and Thank You"!
In the picture below this is the one thing that you have to have to make sure your parade goes smoothly is A COMMITTED DESIGNATED DRIVER. Mardi Gras Southeast Texas has the Port Arthur Police do sobriety testing for all of the parade drivers. Johnny Babineaux volunteers time out of his busy schedule to make sure we have a nice truck and a smooth pull down Proctor Street. Johnny has alot of serious responsibilities due to the children and other people along the route chasing beads in the street, and also the people on the float behind him. We love you Johnny and want to say from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU, for making it happen Smoothly!
